There has been a lot going on lately. It feels like Christmas was a lifetime ago, yet I still have one more Christmas party to attend. I can't believe that it's only January 19th. I feel like it should be past Valentine's Day already. So here are some things that I'm excited about:
1) I've decided to cut my hair short. I mean, like way short. Not a boy cut... I got that in the 3rd grade and I hated it. But above the shoulder. The reasons, you might ask? I think it's time for a change. I've haven't cut more than a couple inches off of my hair since the 3rd grade. I've had long wavy hair for a long time and it's time for a change. Also, I've decided to send in my hair to Locks of Love. I'm going to donate it. For the past couple months I've been struggling out here trying to find some way to make a difference in the world (aside from serving at Cedarwood) and frankly, buying charity merchandise isn't cutting it anymore (not to mention my bank account isn't happy with it either). So there. I'm excited about this, and no one's gonna take that away from me.
2) I'm taking a trip out to Capernwray in April to visit. I'm so freakin' excited about it. I miss that place so much sometimes it hurts. I know there won't be the same people out there this time, but there's a few that I'm excited to see. Like my roommate, Yemima! The only thing I have left to do is book the flights and tell 'em when I'm coming!
3) I'm going to university this fall. I've finally decided what I want to go to university for, so I'm gonna go for it. There's lots of details surrounding this that will remain unknown until I start in September, but I've been slowly fleshing out the details. Like, for my second year, I wish to go to a different university and take my program there instead of at the U of M, because this particular university has a better program. I've already been in contact with the faculty at this other university and it looks promising. So I'm excited to go back to school. I honestly miss it. I miss learning stuff.
So that is what has been going on in my thoughts.
